The Awe-Inspiring Wings Over Batavia Air Show

Spending time together on a family outing is always a fun and rewarding experience. It can sometimes be a challenge to keep everyone entertained and amused. If you are looking for an array of experiences that every single family member will enjoy, an airshow is the perfect opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.

On September 2-3, 2003, the fantastic Wings Over Batavia Air Show returns to the Batavia Airport (Genesee County Airport) in Batavia, NY.

The event will feature modern military aircraft, warbirds, and world-champion aerobatic performers. The show continues as the sun sets. Air show fans will be treated to a high-energy night show and choreographed fireworks featuring aerobatic performances.

The air show gates open at 2:00 p.m. each day, with flying from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Acrobatic air teams will perform jaw-dropping aerial stunts that will have you on the edge of your seat. The planes will perform aerobatic routines full of loops, point rolls, barrel rolls, rotations, drops, and all sorts of crazy maneuvers. Some air teams focus on flights that showcase precision and orchestration. A smoke-writing airplane will be using the sky as a canvas. The United States Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II Demo team will be showcasing the abilities of the A-10C. The team is based out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. Those are just some of the highlights of Wings Over Batavia.

Wings Over Batavia not only delivers thrills, but many attendees are drawn to the several historical aircrafts that are flown during the event. These planes tell the history of aviation and are still being used to this day.
