Arcade & Attica Railroad

Step back in time aboard the Arcade & Attica Railroad Corporation, one of Western New York’s most unique historic attractions. Located in the Village of Arcade, the Arcade & Attica Railroad is an authentic short-line railroad offering scenic passenger excursions through the beautiful countryside of Wyoming County.

The A&A is home to Steam Engine No. 18, a historic locomotive that powers regular passenger excursions and provides visitors with a truly nostalgic railroad experience. The railroad is also one of New York State’s last regularly operating steam passenger excursion railroads and continues to operate as a working common carrier, hauling both freight and passengers.

Your journey begins at the historic Arcade Station, where railroad artifacts, photographs and exhibits offer a glimpse into the region’s railroading past. Then climb aboard vintage World War II-era passenger coaches and settle in for a scenic ride through the rolling hills and farmland of Western New York.

Throughout the season, the A&A offers a variety of experiences for visitors of all ages. In addition to regular steam-engine excursions, themed rides include Fall Foliage trains, the Easter Bunny Express, Santa’s Wonderland Express, Halloween trains, WWII Weekend, The Great Train Robbery, Murder Mystery Dinner Trains, and more. Adults can also enjoy special events such as Wine on the Rails, Whiskey on Wheels and Ale on the Rails.

The railroad also welcomes groups, bus tours, school field trips and private charters, making the A&A a great option for family outings, group excursions, celebrations and special occasions.

Whether you're a lifelong railroad enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable way to experience the Wyoming County countryside, the Arcade & Attica Railroad is worth the ride!
