Darien Lakes State Park

Darien Lakes State Park offers a scenic escape with rolling hills, wooded ravines, peaceful streams, and the 12-acre Harlow Lake at its center. The park is a favorite destination for camping, outdoor recreation, and family fun throughout the year.

Campers can choose from 154 campsites, including 141 sites with electricity and 13 primitive campsites, available by reservation from May through October. During the summer season, visitors can enjoy a sandy beach, destination playground, heated restrooms and showers, fishing for largemouth bass, picnic areas, and a rustic bridge leading to Picnic Island. An ADA-accessible kayak launch on Harlow Lake makes it even easier for visitors of all abilities to get out on the water.

Outdoor enthusiasts will also find miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, while the park's 18-hole disc golf course—the first in Genesee County—is open year-round. During the winter months, the park transforms into a hub for cold-weather recreation, with multi-use trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling, as well as a maintained outdoor skating rink with a heated warming building.

Two picnic shelters are available to reserve for gatherings and special events.
