2026 Friends & Family 5k and Fun Walk | Elba
When
Run, walk and make a difference at Arc GLOW’s Friends & Family 5K! Open to people of all ages and skill levels, this inclusive event welcomes the individuals Arc GLOW serves, their families and the greater community.
A signature part of the event is the Taste of Country, featuring a colorful display of fresh fruits and vegetables donated by area farmers. Runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers are invited to take some home after the event.
The Friends & Family 5K honors the lives and legacies of three dedicated Arc supporters:
- Mary Anne Graney, a parent, educator, advocate and friend whose passion for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities enriched countless lives
- Terri Carr Krieger, a longtime Arc staff member remembered for her years of service
- Dr. Ramon M. Rocha, an inspiring professor, volunteer and advocate who believed deeply in life’s possibilities for people of all abilities
Proceeds support Arc GLOW’s programs and services, as well as the Mary Anne Graney Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship assists area high school seniors planning to continue their education in human services, special education or a related field.
