Starting plants from seed is a great way for gardeners to take their hobby to the next level. There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing a plant blooming in your garden or harvesting a vegetable from a plant that you once held as a tiny seed in your hand. It also opens the door to thousands of new varieties that you may never find at the local nursery. Starting your own seeds can be intimidating, but with the right tools and timing, seed starting is remarkably fun and easy.
