Genesee County is gearing up for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we want you to be a part of it! On Monday, April 8, 2024, Genesee County will be in the path of totality for the “Great North American Eclipse”. For 3 minutes and 42 seconds, the moon will pass between the sun and Earth, plunging the county into a deep twilight. From 3:19 to 3:23 pm, bright stars and planets will appear, and the sun’s outer atmosphere will shine around the black disk of the moon’s silhouette.
