GeneseeAmerica 250 Commemorative Event: Summer Kick-Off Classic Horse Show | Genesee County Fair Grounds

Celebrate horses, horsemanship, and America’s 250th Birthday at the Summer Kick-Off Classic Horse Show Series, returning for its 11th season at the Genesee County Fairgrounds. This popular open horse show series welcomes exhibitors, families, and spectators from across the region for a summer of friendly competition and community spirit.

In honor of the United States Semiquincentennial, the 2026 series will feature a patriotic Red, White & Blue theme throughout the season. From special awards to themed decorations, the series will celebrate America’s milestone birthday while continuing the tradition of showcasing talented horses and riders.

One special highlight this year will be the exhibitor who receives Show Number 1776, which will earn a patriotic commemorative award in recognition of the nation’s founding year.

2026 Show Highlights

• May Show – Season Kick-Off
  The series opens with a relaxed start to the season. Exhibitors may opt for show-clothes optional attire as long as they are wearing 2026 Summer Kick-Off Classic apparel. Participants will still be showing in front of a professional judge, so outfits should remain clean, neat, and presentable.
• June Show – Father’s Day Celebration
  The June show takes place during Father’s Day weekend, celebrating the many supportive show dads who help make the horse show community so special.
• July Fair Show – Red, White & Blue Stall Decorating
  During the July show held alongside the Genesee County Fair, exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their stalls in patriotic Red, White & Blue, reflecting both the Fair’s theme and the nationwide America 250 celebration.
• August Show – Season Finale
  The August show concludes the summer series and will be followed by plans for the popular End-of-Year Banquet Camper Crawl, bringing exhibitors together to celebrate a successful season.
