Medina's Patriotic Birthday Concert

Join the Medina Tourism Committee on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 3-7 p.m. at State Street Park for an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

The celebration will feature retired local television personality Mike Randall, who will kick off the afternoon with his puppetry. Randall will also present a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Enjoy jazz and patriotic music performed by Medina High School’s Jazz Band, directed by Jim Steele. The program will also include a presentation by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard, featuring the presentation of Colors, a salute and echo taps.

Food trucks will be on site, including Hazel and Honey, offering baked goods and lemonade. The first 250 attendees will receive red, white and blue cupcakes made by Hans’s Bakery, along with miniature American flags.

Come celebrate 250 years of American history, music and community.
