When
Take a break from your day and enjoy a box lunch or sweet dessert and a FREE concert featuring the MostArts Festival Musicians. These informal concerts are a festival favorite: Monday thru Friday at NOON in Holmes Auditorium of Harder Hall on the Alfred University campus.
Friday’s Chamber Concert features Dennis James in “REVISITING THE ACCORDION: A Dilettante’s Redux”
Guitarist, Brian Keeler will join Dennis for the silent film score to the 9 minute “Professeur de Tango” 1912 film starring Max Linder
The concert will also feature Lloyd Smith’s “Storm Echoes” for string trio and accordion……
from THE SARATOGIAN newspaper about the premier:
“It is probably an understatement to say that few composers today write serious chamber music featuring the accordion. And perhaps it’s an overstatement to categorize composer Lloyd Smith’s “Storm Echoes Suite” – for accordion and three strings – as serious music. “It’s purely a fun piece,”
