Join us for the next installment of our Rhythms of the Refuge series at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge as we welcome Nusantara Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia in Western New York and beyond.

Through traditional music, dance, and cultural expression, Nusantara Arts will share the vibrant traditions and artistic practices that reflect the diverse cultures of the Indonesian archipelago. This special program offers an opportunity to experience the beauty of cultural storytelling and performance while connecting communities through art, history, and shared appreciation of traditions from around the world.
Hosted by the Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge in collaboration with local cultural organizations and performing artists, Rhythms of the Refuge will take place throughout 2026 as a three-part series. Each event will feature live performances, interactive experiences, and educational elements that explore how music, dance, and cultural traditions reflect human relationships with nature.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by GO ART!
