Join us for a day of nature, creativity, and community at the Spring Spectacular, taking place at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge on May 11th, 2024, from 10am to 3pm. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the refuge as you observe a diverse array of wildlife, participate in fun crafts and educational activities, and connect with various community organizations dedicated to conservation, artistic expression, and cultural enrichment. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, an art lover, or simply looking for a fun-filled day with family and friends, the Spring Spectacular promises something for everyone to enjoy. While you’re here you can also enjoy what the rest of the wildlife refuge has to offer as well as visit the neighboring Oak Orchard and Tonawanda Wildlife Management Areas and appreciate the importance of the whole landscape coming together to provide vital habitat for wildlife that live and pass through Western New York. This event is being held thanks to The Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
Activity and Accessibility: This program is held outdoors and partially indoors. Accessible parking available, restrooms and water fountains are located in the visitor center. Activities are family-friendly and will involve walking station to station. Tables will be available for sitting. Food will be available for purchase. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is committed to providing access to these events for all participants. Please direct all requests for interpreting services, close captioning, or other accommodation needs to Logan Sauer at logan_sauer@fws.gov, with your request at least two weeks before the event.
