On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross over the WNY Wilds! This is a once in a lifetime event and we are lucky to be in the coveted path of totality. During a solar eclipse, the Moon’s shadow covers the Sun, creating a shadow zone where the phenomenon can be observed. When a total eclipse occurs, the area where an eclipse can be seen is referred to as the “path of totality”. Totality is the duration of total obscuration of the sun or moon during an eclipse.
