In celebration of the April 8th Total Solar Eclipse, a newly painted barn quilt has been added to the famous Barn Quilt Trail in Le Roy, New York.

The design of the 8-foot-square barn quilt is a reproduction of the original barn quilt design that adorns the red barn in Genesee County's original children's book "Genny Sees The Eclipse".  The informative and fun story takes place at the fictional Genesee Farm on April 8, 2024, when Genny the Cow and her farm animal friends experience the solar eclipse.

  • The book was created under art direction of Glenn Clark, Crafting A Brand, written by Colleen Onuffer, Break the Ice Media, and illustrated by Andy Reddout, who also designed the County’s commemorative poster. All proceeds of this limited-edition book are being donated to animal shelters within Genesee County. It can be purchased online or at the Genesee County Visitor Center.

  • The Total Solar Eclipse Barn Quilt can be seen on the north face of the Fort Hill Farm's red barn located at 8042 Lake Road, LeRoy, NY, which is currently #35 on the Barn Quilt Trail and also features the "Windmill" barn quilt. Look for it as seen on the west side of Rt. 19
