Learn about Attica's local history and genealogy information, artifacts, early 1900's furniture, including a complete Victorian parlor, clothing, Attica Prison history and war memorabilia.

The Attica Historical Society was founded in November of 1937 by Miss Marion Stevens.  Miss Stevens used the original parlor of judge Alden Stevens house to store and display artifacts.

In 1951 the Stevens family donated both the parlor and the land for an addition to the Attica Historical Society to be used as a museum.

The parlor was moved to its current site, facing Main Street.  Later additions were made with the most recent one occurring in 1994.

The museum is filled with a varied collection of objects that relate to the Attica area and cover over a century of time.  All objects in the collection have been donated by local families and interested persons.
