Adventure In Letchworth State Park

No visit to Wyoming County is complete without a trip to the iconic Grand Canyon of the East! Voted the #1 State Park by USA Today readers, Letchworth State Park is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in all of the eastern US. Set against lush forests, the Genesee River cuts through the gorge and plunges down three waterfalls for breathtaking views. Families can wander over 66 miles of trails, let the kids burn off some energy, and keep an eye out for the local animals, including several endangered bird species. Adventure-seekers can kick it up a notch with horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and even hot air balloon rides above the falls! No matter the time of year, Letchworth is stunning.

Step back in time to the peak of railroad travel at the Arcade and Attica Railroad! This authentic shortline railroad is one of the last operating excursion trains in New York. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely two-hour ride through the rolling hills of Wyoming County, or
