Lady Liberty’s “Little Sister” stands proudly on the bank of the Oatka Creek in LeRoy. Originally dedicated in 1950 , LeRoy’s statue is one of less than 100 that have survived (at one time, there were more than 200 “Little Sisters” across the United States). The community raised over $15,000 in 2016 to have the statue repaired. At only 8-feet tall, she is the same size as the index of the finger of her big sister in New York Harbor.
